Community Garden Partners

The WSU Extension has been an incredible resource for the garden over the years, including teaching composting classes, mentoring through the master Gardeners program and providing this amazing compost bin!

Growing Neighbors: Johnny Edmonson is the Executive Director there and has been such a great mentor and guide as we look to grow the garden. Their mission is “Helping neighbors grow and share healthy food and relationships” and they have helped our garden in so many ways! They connected us with Mary Bishop, our permaculture consultant, as well as with mission meadows and the Edible Tree Project. Thank you Growing Neighbors!

Mission Meadows Community Garden: Their mission is “Empowering Individuals of all ages and backgrounds to develop their gardening skills, nurture the land and embrace self sufficiency.” Lynn, the coordinator of the garden has already been a mentor and the Mission Meadows Community Garden has been a beautiful example of what a thriving Community garden can be.

Edible Tree project: Their mission is to “Help alleviate hunger and food waste in the greater Spokane area.” We are grateful for this partnership and knowledge. Eli from the Edible Tree Project has been incredibly helpful and we look forward to future partnership with them!
